'Cruisin' for our Heroes' - Fire Museum Muster & Sheriff's Thank-You

On Saturday, September 13th, 2008 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. the Fire Museum of Maryland and the Baltimore County Sheriff?s Office will hold a joint day out at the Museum. This event is free to one and all. The Museum will have its Annual Antique Fire Engine Muster and Antique Car Show, while the Sheriff?s Office will feature custom cars, motorcycles, and military and department vehicles. With fire engines from the Chesapeake Antique Fire Apparatus Association, antique cars from the Antique Automobile Club of America-Chesapeake Region and drive-bys from the Chesapeake H.O.G.?s and the Boumi Motorcycle Group, there will be something to interest everyone. There will also be fire engine rides, activities for kids, working vehicle demonstrations with lots of water, a food vendor, and a fire/police flea-market! The Museum itself will also be open from 10-4, complete with 40 fire engines, a working fire alarm office, audio tours of the Museum and of the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904, a new exhibit entitled ?Life of a Fireman-the Baltimore Fire Dept. in the 1870s?as well as lots of fun things for kids to do in the Children?s Discovery Room.
