Stirred by Brahms? Third Symphony, Dvorák vowed to make his Seventh a piece ?capable of moving the world.? The resulting Symphony in D Minor explores moods of tragedy and pastoral reflection. Considered by some to be Dvorák?s greatest symphony, it is paired with the composer?s lilting, cheerful Scherzo capriccioso.
