Set in Egypt during the mystical time of the Pharaohs, the opera tells of the plight of Aida, an enslaved Ethiopian Princess, whose enduring love for an enemy commander leads to conspiracy, defeat and ultimately, death. Sung in Italian with English Translations projected above the stage.
